Astratek Projects is an energetic and vibrant engineering enterprise that is primarily a specialist machine design, manufacturing and maintenance provider, specialising in maintenance programmes as well as offering specialised engineering services in machine fabrication and design, repairs, precision engineering, sales, installation and commissioning.
One of our main strengths lies in the design and fabrication of semi-automated and automated packaging specialist machinery and being skilled and equipped to service the food and allied industries.
The original business (Machman) was established in November 2011 starting operations with little seed capital operating from a small
60 sq. meter workshop. The company was officially registered by
January 2012. As of 1 May 2022, Machman was acquired by the Astratek Group of Companies and now trades as Astratek Projects. 
Since the acquisition, we have not only expanded to a 900 sq. meter workshop but we have also expanded our services and capabilities to design and fabricate specialist machinery, systems and equipment
in-house tailored to your specific needs.
Astratek Projects is managed by Peter Grobler (MD of the Astratek Group of companies). The team further consists of Mechanical Design Engineers, qualified Fitters & Turners, Millwrights, Welders and Technicians. We also support Apprentice training programmes, assisting them to qualify in their respective Trades.
We provide services to clients throughout Africa and no location is too far for us to service.
Present clients include RCL Foods, Amaro Foods, Takealot, Pesto Princess, Spice Mecca, Rhodes Food Group, Nulaid, Catwalk Cosmetics, Crown National, Marcel’s Frozen Yogurt, NoMU, Cape Herb and Spice and large retail suppliers, amongst others.
